STA Celebrates Success After 12 Months with Eddie Stobart

STA is motoring after a successful 12-month training partnership with Eddie Stobart, one of the country’s most recognised transport, storage and logistics companies.

Over the last 12 months, STA’s Health & Safety division has been working closely with Eddie Stobart to deliver a range of tailor-made first aid training programmes specifically for the company’s drivers and staff. And, the company has been so impressed with the service and delivery from STA, they are now looking to further expand the range of courses.

Tim Roberts, Staff Training Manager at Eddie Stobart Ltd’s Training Academy said: “STA was the first training provider that took a genuine interest in our business and training requirements.

“Our brand is very important to us and STA understood this from our very first meeting, arranging for one of their trainers to meet with us before they delivered the first course so we could brief them on our values and what to expect from our delegates.

“Right from the very first course, the feedback from our delegates has been very good and STA is always available on the end of the phone and they respond very quickly to our queries.”

Zoe Cooper, STA’s Head of Accounts, said STA Health & Safety had worked closely with the company to ensure that its staff had the necessary training that is required by law.

“Companies have to undergo health and safety training and we have worked closely with Eddie Stobart over the past few months to deliver exactly what they need to ensure that staff are fully competent and up to date with their first aid training requirements,” she said.

“Because we are an awarding body, we can tailor the courses to specific sector needs, which is what we have done with Eddie Stobart. We’ve been really pleased with how it has worked and we’re thrilled the relationship is getting stronger.”

More than 70 members of staff have already been trained by STA, with more undergoing training over the next few months.

As well as high quality first aid at work training, Eddie Stobart staff at the company’s largest transport sites also had detailed instruction on automated external defibrillation (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when defibrillation kits were installed.
