STA Excel is a wholly owned subsidiary of the STA and was created in response to a climate of exciting and sustained growth and change within the leisure industry.

The STA is now positioned within the leisure industry as one of the leading authorities in the delivery and development of vocational training.

  • Expand on the delivery, planning and development of current and future STA training products and services.
  • Develop a comprehensive programme of Continuous Professional Development courses.
  • Develop a range of Consultancy services (Project Management, Feasibility Studies, Quality Audits, Mystery Visits and Funding Bids).
  • Widen the opportunities for partnership working within the Public, Private and Voluntary sectors.
  • Lead on the research and development of new awards and standards.
  • Identify grant, sponsorship and funding opportunities to support training and other commercial activities.
  • Raise the overall profile of the STA at a local, regional, national and international level.
