The People’s Republic of China, the world’s
most populous nation, has joined the International Federation Swimming
Teachers’ Association (IFSTA), the international arm of the
UK’s Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA).

RAISING STANDARDS IN INDEPENDENT UK SWIM SCHOOLS
- FIRST STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCED BY THE STA
Surprisingly in the UK, there are currently no
national guidelines and / or standards that ensure that independent
Swim Schools, which is a growing sector, are operating ethically.
As a result and following consultation with its own members, the
Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) has set-up the National
Federation of Swim Schools (NFS), which will be the first official
organisation that will be solely dedicated to representing Swim
Schools in the UK.

STA FORGE A STRONGER PARTNERSHIP WITH ILAM
The Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA)
is forging a stronger partnership with the Institute of Leisure
and Amenity Management (ILAM) through support of its new STAmark
accreditation, which has been launched specifically for UK Swim
Schools.
