Course Registration Forms

Course Application Form (1) – Certificate & Re-Validation Courses (CAPP 1)

All Courses must be notified to the Course Registration Department at least 28 days before a Course is due to start.

The CAPP 1 form allows for the following registrations:

  • All Swimming and Aquatic Courses
  • All NaRS Courses except T/E courses (please use CAPP 4)
  • All Pool Plant Operator Courses
  • All Manual Handling Courses
  • Customer Care Tutor Course

Course Application Form (2) – Re-takes (CAPP 2)

Any candidate, who fails to achieve the required standard for a pass in ONE or more section/s, may apply to be re-examined in the failed section, or sections without the necessity of attending an approved course. In this event the examination must be taken within:

  •  6 months of being notified of the failure for swimming teaching and swimming pool and spa plant courses.
  •  6 weeks of being notified of the failure for Aquacise, Manual Handling, Customer Care and NaRS qualifications.
  • 13 weeks from the start of the course for NaRS FAW courses.

Applications for re-takes, either for a single section or for the complete examination, should be made to the STA on the ‘Course Application Form (2) – Re-takes’ form (CAPP 2) and completed by the original Course Organiser or Tutor.

Note: If a candidate fails to pass a re-examination, they will not be permitted to re-sit the examination without attending an approved course of instruction leading to the certificate in question.

Course Application Form (3) – Seminars / Snorkelling, Seascooter and Synchronised Swimming Modules

Course Organisers, Tutors, NaRS Senior Tutors and Regional Organisers are able to register seminars and workshops that will be issued with an ‘Attendance Certificate’, which may include CPD points if appropriate. This form may also be used to register the Pool Snorkelling, Seascooter and Synchronised Swimming Modules.

Course Application Form (4) – Teacher/Examiner Courses (CAPP 4)

Course Organisers and NaRS Senior Tutors can register NaRS T/E courses. All Courses must be notified to the Course Registration Department at least 28 days before a Course is due to start and follow the same procedures and requirements for CAPP 1.

The CAPP 4 form allows for the following T/E registrations:

  • Pool T/E
  • FAW T/E
  • Pool T/E plus any additional T/E Units
  • FAW T/E plus any additional T/E Units
  • Advanced Resuscitation T/E
  • Complete Spinal Management T/E (Pool or FAW)
  • Adrenaline Auto-Injection T/E
