CRB Checks

The Swimming Teachers' Association can act for you as an umbrella body for the purpose of obtaining CRB disclosure on yourself, employees and volunteers.

There are 2 levels of disclosure:

1. Standard Disclosure - The CRB charge is £26.00 per applicant.
2. Enhanced Disclosure - The CRB charge is £36.00 per applicant.

There is no charge from the CRB for volunteers for either level of disclosure.

In addition to the above, the STA makes an administration charge to cover costs and these are:

• Less than 20 searches per year - £12.00 per search in addition to the disclosure fee.
• Between 20-100 searches per year - £8.00 per search in addition to the disclosure fee.
• Over 100 searches per year - Special prices can be discussed.

(Applications for Volunteers also have to pay this administrative charge.)

The principle issues that concern both CRB and us are:

1. Searches must only be requested on those people that should properly be searched.
2. That you confirm that the information you supply to us, relates only to the person to be searched.
3. That the search results we send to you are kept secure and confidential.
4. That you destroy the results when used and that they are not kept any longer than 6 months.
