NEW STA WEBSITE
04.01.2005
The Swimming Teachers’ Association (STA) has re-launched its website to manage its growing range of services, and the sheer number of people that now contact the Awarding Body for information on swimming, lifeguarding/lifesaving and first aid.
Roger Millward, Chief Executive for the STA explains: “We have been finding it difficult to keep up with the growing popularity of the STA worldwide – we were becoming victims of our own success, with more than one million visits to the website each month. Requests for information about teachers, facilities, courses and advice were growing at an impressive, but daunting rate.
So we have completely redesigned our website, www.sta.co.uk to help us manage that demand. The simplified website now has dedicated areas, each with their own homepage, as well as new consumer pages for parents, children and schoolteachers, to enable each visitor to access the information they need immediately.”
The new site also incorporates a directory of members and facilities that use STA programmes, and vast amounts of technical details on issues like awards, courses, policies and qualifications, plus all the latest news from the STA, National Federation of SwimSchools and the IFSTA.
