Raising Standards in Swimming through Professional Teaching

Swimming and Aquatic Teaching Qualifications from the STA

The STA is a founder member of the International Federation of Swimming Teachers Associations (IFSTA) whose members throughout the world teach swimming to exacting, high standards.

In the UK the STA is represented on all major UK committees concerned with promoting water safety and swimming. We are also recognised by many independent bodies, swimming groups and local authorities.

The STA has been awarded the British Standards Institution ISO 9001 Certification and is approved by the QCA as an awarding body. Most swimming and aquatic teaching qualifications are included on the National Qualifications Framework as Level 2 qualifications.
