The seminar focus will be to share water time from a baby’s perspective, ideal for all baby and preschool swimming teachers. Smiles and cries are the obvious signs that babies in classes are enjoying or not enjoying the water, but there are so many subtle cues to be aware of. All babies are different and will respond differently in the water, do you have all the knowledge tools to support your babies and parents?
Online (Zoom)
This webinar will look at how working with babies and children in the water offers an unique environment that opens opportunities for the body to move in ways that may not be possible on land, and positively aid in the transformation from reflex to functional movement…and some of the challenges you’ll see in older swimmers who still have reflex patterns and reactions active within their body.
Online (Zoom)
The webinar will build upon the STA’s Baby and Pre-Level 2 Child-Development Module and consider how physical literacy with gross and fine motor skills helps promotes all other areas of learning such as social and emotional development, cognitive function, and sensory integration. We will look at the importance of movement in babies and how swimming teachers can help lay down firm physical milestones that then help with the transition into toddlerhood and beyond.
Online (Zoom)
This session is a recap on floating and co swim methods looking at what things may help and hinder such as effective communication and reflexes in play. Including song and activity ideas.
Online (Zoom)
