STA and Seascooter UK Ltd Drive New Support for Swimming Teacher Training

STA is pleased to announce a new commercial partnership with Seascooter UK Ltd, which will provide an added benefit for STA members and support swimming teacher training and workforce development.
The partnership offers STA members an exclusive 15% discount on all Seascooter UK Ltd products, with proceeds from qualifying member purchases contributing to STA’s charitable activity. Funds raised through the partnership will support a new STA charitable initiative that will be announced shortly, which has been designed to support workforce sustainability and improve inclusive access to high-quality swimming teacher training.
Seascooter UK Ltd is the official distributor of Nautica licensed seascooters for the UK, Ireland and Benelux countries, with more than 4,000 seascooters currently in operational use across over 400 swimming pools and holiday centres in the UK. In swimming pools and leisure settings, seascooters are typically used as part of supervised aquatic activities to support engagement and confidence in the water, particularly within structured sessions and controlled environments. Seascooter activity can also provide an inclusive way for pools to broaden participation and offer additional programmed aquatic experiences, including parties.

Commenting on the partnership, Zoe Cooper, Commercial Director at STA, said: “We have worked with Seascooter UK Ltd for many years, and this new partnership provides a practical benefit for our members while supporting our wider charitable objectives. By working together, we are able to create a sustainable funding stream that will contribute towards swimming teacher training and workforce development, helping to strengthen the future of swimming education.”
Kris Brown, Managing Director at Seascooter UK Ltd added: “We are pleased to be working once again with STA on a partnership that supports swimming teaching and aquatic education. Providing an exclusive benefit to STA members while contributing to a wider charitable initiative reflects our commitment to safe, engaging and well-managed activity in pool environments. Seascooter sessions can also offer leisure operators a fun, structured way to diversify their aquatic programme, and create additional revenue streams, while creating positive experiences for users.”
STA members can access the Seascooter discount code via STA Online.
In addition, as further support, STA already delivers the STA Seascooter Programme, a structured series of progressive awards designed to introduce the skills and techniques required for the safe and enjoyable use of seascooters in a pool environment.
