STA Donates Defibrillator to Jubilee Park Woodhall Spa

STA is pleased to confirm that Jubilee Park in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, has become the eighth recipient of a life-saving defibrillator through its 2025 Community Heart STArters campaign.
Set in 10 acres of landscaped grounds, Jubilee Park is a charitable trust that provides a wide range of leisure and recreational opportunities for the local community and visitors alike. From its heated 33-metre outdoor pool and fitness suite, to its gardens, children’s play area, sports pitches, and campsite, the park is a much-valued community asset that welcomes over 300,000 people each year.
The new defibrillator replaces a unit that has been in use at the park since 2014 and has now reached the end of its recommended service life. With such a high volume of visitors, and a community that is predominantly older in demographic, ensuring continued access to reliable, modern equipment was considered essential.
“All our staff are AED-trained, and we also deliver CPR/AED training to the wider community,” said Rachael Meller, who applied on behalf of Jubilee Park. “We regularly run certified courses and taster sessions to raise awareness and confidence in using life-saving equipment, and having an up-to-date device on site will provide vital reassurance to the hundreds of thousands of people who enjoy Jubilee Park every year.”
Dave Candler, CEO of STA, said: “Jubilee Park is not only a centre for leisure but a cornerstone of the Woodhall Spa community. With so many people of all ages using its facilities each year, it is vital that life-saving equipment is readily available on site. By providing a new defibrillator, we’re supporting the charity’s ongoing commitment to safety and helping give peace of mind to everyone who enjoys the park.”
All defibrillators donated through the Community Heart STArters campaign are registered on The Circuit, the British Heart Foundation’s national defibrillator network. This ensures emergency services can direct 999 callers to the nearest available device when every second counts.
The Community Heart STArters campaign will continue throughout 2025, with STA providing defibrillators to grassroots, charitable, and community organisations across the UK – uniting communities and saving lives.
