STA Expands 2026 Membership Benefits – And It’s a Lucky 13th Year with No Added Fees for Aquatic Professionals

STA is delighted to confirm that for 2026, membership fees will remain frozen for the thirteenth consecutive year. This decision reaffirms our long-standing commitment to keeping membership affordable, and for 2026 we have further bolstered the educational package to give members even more value.
From January 2026, members will benefit from an expanded CPD and webinar library, including the new Mental Health Awareness CPD. This has been developed in response to member feedback and the increasing importance of wellbeing within aquatic and leisure environments.

Dave Candler, STA’s CEO, said: “Our membership package is designed around what swimming teachers and our tutor workforce tell us they need. It provides professional recognition, essential personal insurance, and access to a wide range of tools that support them in their day-to-day roles. Our extensive library of educational and marketing resources continues to be highlighted as a major benefit, alongside the cost savings available through discounts on awards, STA events, and more.”
He added: “What matters just as much as the insurance cover is knowing that members have the reassurance of our trusted team whenever they need us. Free access to our 24-hour legal helpline, regular webinars, and our growing suite of CPDs gives members even more value at no extra cost.”
Alongside Public Liability Insurance (up to £10 million any one claim), Professional Indemnity Insurance (up to £1 million any one claim) and the 24/7 legal helpline, STA Associate Members in 2026 will continue to benefit from a comprehensive membership package including downloadable marketing materials, exclusive STA SwimShop and partner discounts, and an expanding range of CPDs that underpin ongoing professional development.
“By freezing membership fees once again and significantly expanding the CPD offer, STA is proud to continue its investment in the swimming teaching community and the future of the profession. And at just £44 per year, which equates to less than £1 a week, we believe STA’s offering provides the most fit-for-purpose professional membership package for swimming teachers in the UK,” added Dave.
