Awards and STA Swim-Shop Purchases
STA will exchange, refund or credit an account for purchases of awards and STA Swim-Shop products on the following basis:
- They are returned within 90 days of purchase
- They are in new, unused and perfect condition
- For awards, they are the current design, syllabus and presidential signature
- A copy of the invoice or despatch note for the items being returned is included within the return package
- The customer pays any postage fees to return the items.
Course Manuals
Physical Manuals
STA will refund or credit an account for purchases of physical course manuals on the following basis:
- They are returned within 90 days of purchase
- They are in new, unused and perfect condition
- They are the current version of the manual
- A copy of the invoice or despatch note for the items being returned is included within the return package
- The customer pays any postage fees to return the items.
Electronic Manuals
STA will refund or credit an account for purchases of electronic course manuals on the following basis:
- The refund is requested within 90 days of purchase
- They are the current version of the manual.
STA is unable to issue any refund if the electronic manual has been allocated to a learner. However, if an electronic manual has been allocated to a learner and they have not yet accepted it, that allocation can be revoked by the customer—in which case the revoked allocation is returned to the customer and a refund can be requested, subject to the terms above.
Manuals for Paper-Based Courses
STA will exchange, refund or credit an account for excess manuals for paper-based courses on the following basis:
- They are returned within 60 days of the course’s start date–in cases where the start date of the course has been amended, this remains as the start date the course was originally registered for
- They are in new, unused and perfect condition
- They are the current version of the manual
- The manuals were received for the course which the return is being request for (i.e. they have not been carried over from a previous course)
- The Return of STA Manuals form is completed and included within the return package—a copy of this form is included within each order package, or alternatively can be requested from STA
- The customer pays any postage fees to return the items.
STA Online Programmes
STA will refund or credit an account for purchases of STA Online programmes on the following basis:
- The refund is requested within 14 days of purchase
- The programme has not been started.
