Pool Plant

In the current climate, litigation is a continuing problem to recognised pool operators. The majority of issues are due to the lack of quality training. Once the doors are opened to customers, members and guests there is a legal requirement to provide a safe hygienic environment.

Wet leisure facilities which must provide a safe hygienic environment include:

  • Conventional pools
  • Water parks
  • Spas
  • Interactive play features/splash pads
  • Hydro pools
  • School pools
  • Swim school pools

There is an inherent list of accepted risks including the risk of infection. These are addressed by maintaining a well-managed plant and by ensuring correct procedures are followed by trained operators.

STA, leaders in safety training, offer a range of qualifications to the Pool & Spa industry enabling candidates to effectively and safely manage a swimming pool & spa plant.

All qualifications are supported by the operators manual which is designed as an operator’s reference book. The manual and courses contain chapters on spas, interactive play features, energy conservation and health & safety.
