STA has launched a brand new Careers Board email mailing list service with the aim of connecting people looking for swimming teaching work with companies that have live vacancies.

To start the process, STA encourages swimming teachers who are currently or might have an interest in the future of looking for extra hours or alternative employment, to sign up to this free email service.

Mark Ray, STA’s Head of Marketing said: It’s well documented that there is a massive shortage of swimming teachers in the UK and there is no one central way of connecting swimming teachers with potential employers. The Careers Board mailing list is an excellent addition to the existing STA Search facility’s jobs search. It will allow us to pro-actively communicate the employment opportunities featured on the STA website directly to an inbox of a teacher who might be seeking work.

The first stage of this process is to ask swimming teachers to sign up to the mailing list so we can create the database, confirmed Mark.
